PLA
Also known as: Polylactic Acid
PLA is a common, plant-derived 3D printing filament valued for being easy to print, with modest heat resistance.
PLA (Polylactic Acid) is the most popular beginner filament. It prints at relatively low temperatures, rarely warps, and produces clean results, which makes it ideal for learning and for decorative or indoor prints.
Its limitation is heat and impact resistance: PLA can soften in hot conditions, such as a closed car in the sun, and is more brittle than some alternatives. For demanding mechanical or outdoor parts, makers reach for tougher materials.
