What is a transparent background and why does mine have a white box?
A transparent background means the pixels around the design are empty, so whatever is behind it shows through. A white box appears when the file was saved as JPG — which cannot store transparency — or when an app flattened it. Apex stickers are transparent PNGs; keep them PNG and the box never appears.

Where the white box comes from
JPG has no alpha channel; anything transparent becomes white on save. Some messaging apps, email previews and older design tools also flatten on import. The original file is unchanged — the copy you are looking at was converted.

How to check
Open the PNG in an image viewer that draws a checkerboard behind transparency (most do). Checkerboard means transparent. Solid white means the file is flat.

How to keep it transparent
Do not 'save as JPG'. Do not paste through an app that re-encodes. When uploading to a POD or sticker printer, choose PNG and confirm the preview shows your design over the product, not over a white square.
Can I make a JPG transparent again?+
Only by removing the background with an editor, which is a rebuild, not a restore. Go back to the PNG you downloaded.
Does the wall-art file have a transparent background?+
No, and it should not — it is a full-bleed artwork sized 4:5. Stickers are the transparent ones.
Why does the transparency look grey in one app and white in another?+
Apps draw different placeholder backgrounds behind transparency. The file has neither.
