Relation (Notion)
A relation is a property that links entries in one Notion database to entries in another, connecting related records.
A relation property creates a link between two databases. Adding a relation lets a task point to its project, or an invoice point to its client, so the connected information travels with the record.
Relations are the foundation of a connected Notion system. Once two databases are linked, you can summarize the connected data using a rollup, turning separate lists into an interlocking system.
Relational database
A relational database organizes data into tables that are linked together by shared keys, so related records can reference one another.
Rollup (Notion)
A rollup is a Notion property that aggregates or summarizes data from records linked through a relation.
Notion database
A Notion database is a structured collection of pages in Notion where each entry shares a defined set of properties and can be viewed in multiple ways.
