Can two people buy the same design and both sell products with it?
Yes. Every design in the catalog is licensed non-exclusively — each buyer gets the same file and the same rights. If you need a design nobody else can use, a catalog is the wrong place to buy it.
- 01
What non-exclusive means in practice
Two shops can sell prints of the same breed portrait. Neither can stop the other. Neither can sell the file.
- 02
How to differentiate anyway
Edit it — colors, text, composition. Pair it with your own photography, your own product, your own audience. The license lets you change anything, and your edits are yours.
- 03
When exclusivity actually matters
Trademarks and brand marks. For those, commission original work. For everything around the brand — the posts, the print on the wall, the seasonal sticker — non-exclusive catalog designs are the economical choice.
Can I buy exclusivity on a design?+
Not from the catalog. Higher-volume and enterprise licensing is available by contact; exclusivity is a separate conversation and not a default product.
Will you tell me how many people bought a design?+
No. We do not publish per-design sales counts.
Does editing make it mine exclusively?+
Your edits are yours. The underlying design remains non-exclusive.
- —It does not give any buyer exclusivity.
- —It does not stop a competitor from using the same design.
- —It does not include per-design sales figures.
Make it yours by changing it.
Canva templates open in the free plan and every element is editable. Non-exclusive in, distinct out.
