Conversion rate
Conversion rate is the proportion of people who take a desired action out of the total who had the opportunity to.
Conversion rate measures how effectively something turns visitors into actors — buyers, subscribers, or leads. It is the count of completed actions divided by the count of people who could have acted, expressed as a percentage.
Because it is a ratio, improving conversion rate multiplies the value of all your existing traffic without needing more of it. Small, tested improvements to pages and offers can meaningfully change results — measured against your own baseline rather than a generic benchmark.
